What not to do:

Card board: Do not rely on it as a solid choice for a base of a scenery piece, unless there is a large solid structure on top. The cardboard will bend and warp after glued for flock until it no longer sits flat and level on the table.

Foam: #1Do not use spray paint on any-kind of foam unless you coated it with a sealant first. Spray paint will dissolve the foam leaving toxic fumes in the air. #2 use only white craft glue (like Elmer's) to glue foam to something, super glue, and model glue will dissolve the foam.
